    Hi

Garda on foot were doing speeding check on Wolfe quay 30km.
I saw one of them wrote my registration number but they never stopped me.

Would they send me fine by post or was that observation study?
    Thanks

    Were you speeding?

They would need to stop you, you are in the clear. If it was a speedvan it would be a fine in the post.

Fair play to you for the eyesight to be able to see what a garda standing on a path is writing while you have passed them.

Wolfe quay new speed limit 30km

I was doing 45km using common sense.

They were on the foot path just before traffic with speed camera on hand and notebook.

You can have all the common sense in the world but speeding is speeding

If you do get fine in post, demand evidence that you were speeding

I'm assuming you're still on a learner permit? You might want to wait until you're off L and N plates before you start to apply your 'common sense' in place of a 30 speed limit.

You're in the clear this time imo.

Being 50% above the speed limit, not much common sense involved at all. You should rightfully be receiving a fine and points.
