Dreams or Nightmares about Boards.ie

I know that there is a Dreams and Meanings thread on here at AH, but I had such a vivid and disturbing dream/nightmare about Boards.ie a few nights ago - whilst still away on my holidays - that I thought I'd start a new thread on it.

The first dream I had about boards.ie was about a year ago and it was about a forum meet that I had planned to attend and everybody else was game for going along to, but when I got to the venue at the arranged time and place, there was nobody else there. The following day AH was abuzz with a thread on how great the meet was and a few posts commented that I didn't show up.

In another dream (a nightmare really) I was a mod or admin on the AH forum (crazy, I know!!) and was following a thread on strange/eccentric habits by posters when a poster opined that they lived near Naas and wanted some advice on how to share their passion for trespassing in old abandoned buildings.

Another poster - a regular in the AH forum - then replied by telling the poster that they too shared the same habit and maybe they should meet up and explore an abandoned factory together.

As an admin, I thought this was a bit odd and risky and wanted to PM the first poster to warn them of meeting up with a stranger but by then it was too late: within a couple of days the poster disappeared off boards and then a badly mutilated body was found in an abandoned factory in County Kildare.

I know this sounds horrible and very f*cked up, but I thought I would share as I wanted to see if any other AHer had a dream or dreams about Boards.

And does it signify some sort of subconscious anxiety around posting online?

So why do you think we gave you the wrong meet up venue for the boards beers?

Had a nightmare that I was stuck in a minibus with a load of the regulars from the current affairs and radio forums. They were a load of frowning men with council glasses and duffel coats. All they did was complain and mutter endlessly in a slow and hypnotic tone. Within minutes I was starting to lose my mind and by the time we got to Red Cow I had gone completely and utterly insane.

Jupiter, I think the muses gifted you the premiss of your first crime novel.

The funny things is that I am on Boards a lot less than, say, a year ago when I was still only working in a part-time capacity. You'd think when I was veering into spamwhore territory on the boards a few years back that I'd have had these sorts of dreams but apparently not...

Maybe that last dream I had about boards was a premonition and I will indeed be an admin or mod... ha ha!!:D:D:eek::eek:
