Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

    For the sake of the sanity of my SO, I am moving from FTA and recording whats on telly with a USB stick, and am seeking to move to a Freesat box.

    I believe;

    01. I need to upgrade the dish from a single LNB to a dual or quad LNB to allow recording of other channels while I watch something else. Is this right?
    02. I am not able access any on demand stuff unless I completely slow down the internet for the whole house by using a Proxy - so, not gonna happen.

    A question

    01. What Box will I need that will give me the proper Freesat EPG, but also a decent amount of HD recording space?
    02. Is there such a box that includes both the proper Freesat EPG from satellite, and the Saorview EPG from Arial ?

    Yes you need a dual or quad LNB for recording and watching at the same time.

    These 2 threads give detail about a great FTA and Saorview box that combines EPG and gives 7 day guide for both:

    It's a really excellent box.

    This is the only Freesat PVR on the market a the moment - https://www.freesat.co.uk/get-freesat/boxes/hdr1100s-humax

    Quad LNB required with 2 co-ax cables to the box. No Saorview option unfortunately.
