    1. I wish to update my account details/billing details for a business account. Can you help?

We recommend that you contact a member of our Billing Team on 1850 778 778, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 and they will be able to look into this further for you.

    2. I am interested in the First Fix scheme; however, I wish to know more detail on its terms and conditions & see the waiver form. Where can I find more information?

Details of the First Fix scheme and a link for how to register are available on our website here. Please see the following link which contains the specific information of the terms and conditions of the First Fix Scheme, as well as the waiver form at the end of the document.

    3. A neighbour’s sewer pipe is broken and potentially causing issues for surrounding properties. Who is responsible for the repair works and any damages caused?

Irish Water is responsible for the public water and wastewater network, and as this is occurring on private property, it would fall outside of our remit to resolve.

If there is a dispute arising from the repairs and the costs involved, it would be the responsibility of the landowners to find a resolution.

    4. I am moving home/premises. How do I close my current account and register myself for my new property?

If you are updating these details in relation to a residential account, you can ring our Domestic line on 1870 448 448, between 09:00 - 14:00 from Monday to Friday.

    5. Is it possible to turn off the water supply at the meter on the pavement outside my house?

It is possible to turn off the supply to your home at the boundary box where the meter is located. Provided that it is safe to do so, you can remove the black cap on the boundary box and there should be a valve located directly next to the water meter. Here you will be able to push down and turn the valve clockwise, which will turn off you water supply.
