Today for some reason has been a crappy day

Hubby (best in the world no issues here for sure) went for his bi monthly two pints

Daughter (15) gave me usual Gip but I got upset and later son 14 came to living room asking was I ok
I stupidly replied I wished I was dead

    Jesus what the hell

He’s asked me am I Ok

    Keeps checking me

    What have I done

Go talk to him and let him know you said something stupid and didn’t mean it. And be more aware of who you say things like that too. It’s not fair on the kid.

Just tell him that you're having a bad day and you didn't really mean what you said and that every day isn't going to be a good day but, you just have to deal with bad days knowing that a good day is just around the corner and the bad days don't last forever.

You are right and I love my kids
Mostly I’m a fairly good mom
If I told you my profession you’d really wonder at this post. The irony !!
I have spoken to him I’ve told him all of the above
But by my own design he is anxious and worried

As I say myself sometimes from the depths of the parenting trenches....tomorrow is another day.

Some days are just ....sh1te.Life, juggling, mood, hormones whatever, sometimes it just happens and you would be a liar to pretend otherwise.

Now go tell your son that.Tell him it was a silly phrase that slipped out and it meant nothing. All you can do is tell him he doesn't have to worry, some days are just the perfect storm and everything feels better after a night's sleep.

You aren't alone either. Some parenting days are just way more work than others.Depends what you bring to it on any given day.
