Exactly, its for when there's a crash/flood/diversion, and you have to take a longer route home. It's for extra mileage that was accrued, but it wasn't your fault.

When Im buying second hand I always make sure they have all the previous NCT discs. Mileage is recorded on each and every one of them. If you're like most people you just stuff the new one on top of the old ones.

Its the main reason I dont trust dealers - they never seem to have these discs.

I could do with taking 150k off my wagon. Will it last longer?

Wow ,it's not a cheap yoke , you'd need to be correcting your milage a hell of a lot to make it worth while ...

Sure, correct milage on a few cars for your mates also.

Mate of mine bought a Renault years ago can't remember the exact model but it was decent enough. He advertised it on the Buy&Sell and showed me how he was going to clock it. Took the the Speedo out of the dash after a bit of fiddling, scratched on the back housing were the words' oh no not again'. One of the funniest reactions I have seen . Not relevant but I thought I'd share.

I remember a fella in an old Astra take 100k off his car in seconds just messing with the dials on it. To this day I’ve no idea how he done it!! It was a 90s Astra hatch.

Dont buy a VW transporter off Louis or you might need one of the towing dollies he is also selling.

Back in the early 90s May auldfella took 100,000 miles off an Opel Astra van .. he sold it privately with 110k on the clock
.. spotted it for sale a few year later with 55k on the clock.

It was like a time machine

Could I use it on myself and make me 21 again?

Because they present the car correctly and take out the old unwanted disks??? Great reason not to trust dealers....

Must be a long time since you bought a car, the last 3 nct mileage are noted on the nct cert a long time now

Only for correcting your milage ... You wouldn't want to be trying to oversell your self on tinder or anything ...but I've heard the internet is full of clocked individuals ..

I always take out the old discs. Can’t stand having 20 years worth of tax insurance and nct shoved into the thing

Wast of time as with anyone who do high mileages a year will clock it before nct
