Reverse osmosis problem

    Hey.
Recently fitted a reverse osmosis 5 stage system I am a plumber but never fitted one before.
PROBLEM IS. Every time I turn on the tap the pump that is connected or apart of the unit turns on for a few seconds & runs for a few seconds after depending on the amount of water that was used.
Is this right? Should it come on every time?
    Thanks.

The reverse osmosis kit fitted with the pump don't waste as much water as the ones fitted without, your unit is probably wasting 1.5 litres of water for every 1 litre that is filtered (as opposed to 4:1 without the pump)
The downside of these units with the pump is that the will come on whenever a tap is opened.
Sounds like your one is working ok.
