Our daughter was diagnosed in 2016. It's very overwhelming to start with but gets easier. The kids seem to handle it better than we do.

She was 8 when diagnosed, what part of the country are you in as most likely support groups nearby.

Can I just reach out and give support . My daughter is T 1 since she was young . She is an adult now with two beautiful children and is doing great
Its overwhelming now but it will get easier and progress is being made all the time . Your lad will cope and learn and it will one day be second nature to him
Reach out and get help and take one day at a time . Every day will get easier

Yes she adapted great but has her up and down days, biggest thing we found was between ourselves, you'll find yourself questioning each other or one taking more control over it than the other but a lot easier if both help each other. Will become second nature to you after a while just don't let it consume you.
We got the pump this time last year so was like starting over again but a massive difference in control of her bloods.

Yeah that's exactly what its happening with we are questioning everything.. one is a lil more laid back than the other ... hoping to get a pump soon enough it's supposed to make things so much easier
