I think John Constable in the last at Sandown is overpriced at 25s.
7lb claimer on board and this is a weak enough race. Finished 3rd off 132 at Haydock in May and hes effectively 120 today. 5th odds 4 places with PP so 5/1 to get 4th is defo worth a shot.

Backed John Constable myself and also had a 1/2 on Moore’s bumper runner at 18/1

    Why?

Fancy Emma Lavelle two hurdlers at Sandown tomorrow. The first is a bit of an unknown Zarafshan but it’s flat form is not bad and at 8/1 in a 5 runner event is value. Hang in there’s form is proven, a little drift in price but 3/1 looks ok to me.

Finespun, daughter of Sea the Stars, has been ticking along nicely with improvement in each of her three races to date. She's only 4/5 so I've doubled her up with Fiddlerontheroof(2/1) who looks another good egg, albeit up against a couple of useful horses.

Today, I shall mostly be backing Cap Du Nord (E.W.) -1.20 Sandown. Generally available at 12/1.

    Only did one bet
Fiver treble Sandown 12.15. – Palladium
    Cork 12.20 – Faugeroon
    Sandown 2.25 - Fiddlerontheroof

Tip floating around work this morning for the Tyner horse in the first at Cork.

11.40 Lingfield, Crimewave, around 3/1 on the exchange and I've had a nice win bet on the horse. My best bet of the day. Not liking Capriolette at all and I'm fairly confident if Mitchell keeps it simple, Crimewave will win easy.

    14.25 Sandown – Fiddlerontheroof

This race has been the plan almost since the Persian War in October. We always felt this race would suit him. Even when he’s been beaten, he’s been beaten by some very good horses.

Sometimes Sandown can catch novices out on heavy ground but he showed last time that he can really handle it.

The Tolworth hasn’t fallen apart by any means. There are seven real solid horses in it which there should be for a Grade 1. We are really looking forward to him running, he’s a proper good horse, and we know he’ll handle Sandown and the ground which is always a big plus.

1.15 Lingfield, Dromara King, not liking the horse at all and very short at around 7/4. Definite a lay bet for me, can't see it winning. I have it priced up around 11/2, 3rd fav.... Very trappy race

Lot of the bookies have Silver Forver and Fiddlerontheroof in an enhanced double...

Those doubles rarely win so not confident on Fiddler now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,191 ✭✭✭SonOfGoat

last bet of the afternoon for me, 1.25 cork, Escaria Ten, around 6/4. Lay bet, can't see it winning

My lucky 15 for interest today

    1:55 cork - snugsborough hall
    2:25 sandown - fiddlerontheroof
3:00 sandown - vieux lion rouge
3:05 cork - minnella till dawn

Both of these drifting like a barge in betting but sur why would that stop me!

    Carole's destrier (sand 3:00) at 20-1. (4 places).
    Remiluc (sand 3:35) at 40-1

    Each way double and singles.

Remiluc off a long time but if recaptured some of old form then 40s could be big.

I think carols destrier has a great chance if this is the big race of the year. Fell the last time at sandown is a big negative though. Those fences on the backstraight are tough. Very winnable race.

    Sandown 3:00

After ruling everything out in this I’ve gone back to the first horse I ruled out. Abolitionist if he did happen to cone back to form would be right in the picture here . Trainer knows how to ready one. This is just gut feeling .

    1 point ew 4 places gen.. 28/1

Fiddler was fair impressive. Jeremy's Flame not too shabby either in behind.

Thankfully I did haha, you know he's good when the Boosts fail to get him beat

Yeah also gives us a line through to the Irish novices which have the upper hand on that one

2.35 Newcastle, Schiehallion Munro, around 6/4 and had a win bet on the horse. 'Looks a 2 horse race,' and should be far too good for the fav and clear round should win easy.

Tolworth historically a good trial but that certainty wasn't.

He needs it soft, form isn't good enough anyway. But he probably won't even go for the race. Ante post markets are absolutely dead.

3.50 Wincanton, Arrivederci, around 6/4 and backed it to win and seems a decent price in a very weak race. Be surprised if it doesn't fairly hack up.

Last 2 bets of the day.

4.10 Kempton, Gift of youth, around 11/4, backed to win

4.40 Kempton, Today, power, around 7/4, strong lay bet for me, can't see it winning.

    Til Tomorrow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,191 ✭✭✭SonOfGoat

The 4.40 @ Kempton, scratch the above lay bet on Today power. I've changed it to a strong win bet on Today power, now around 2/1. Got a call to say the money is down by connections and 'will win.'

    Tomorrow

Well that was the worst race i've seen today. Bad start, recovered for the last furlong, had no more and couldnt place.

Who did you get a call from? A friend of the connections? The same connections who happen to be one of the richest families in all of Asia and own Leicester fecking City? They're getting stuck into a class 6 handicap at Kempton they are? You absolute moron.
