Recycling Nespresso Pods

I just got a new Nespresso machine for Christmas and I'm quite new to all this.

I know that you can bring bags of pods into a Nespresso boutique in Brown Thomas (in Dublin) for recycling but I live in Galway where they don't offer that service.

Has anyone any experience in getting bags of pods collected for recycling or is bringing them to a boutique the only way?

They will collect them from your house, you need to book it when you order online.

I have seen on Wish or Ali Express empty pods of the nespresso or Dolce Gusto that you can refill with store bought loose coffee. I haven't tried it yet as I use a tassimo for now, but it seems like a good idea of cutting down on waste and also give you more options for your machine
