So I'm picking up my new car tomorrow, what should I do about the log book? I think the dealer is selling mine onto another garage and not holding onto it, should o sogn the book and just hand it over or should just hand it over? Can't say I'm too happy with the thought of other people driving around in a car registered in my name

If it is a proper dealer then they will take the logbook and should change the ownership to themselves online. It will then show up on motortax.ie after a day or two as being transfered to a dealer. Dealers trade cars to other dealers all the time so nothing unusual there. If it's a side of the road type dealer then treat it like a private sale and put their details on the logbook and send it to Shannon.
