Van doors not opening

    friend has 01 transit which was sitting up a good while but now door wont open, its not locked just handles not working eirher from inside or out, maybe seized. any quick solution to sorting this out, cheers

    Presume it has manual windows. Should be easy to break in using a clothes hanger.

    Also, you should be able to open the bonnet from the outside with the key.

    Is the battery flat? The double locking could be on.

    WD40 all around door gap, in case its just rubber seals "glued" to the frame.

    actually got in but back doors and drivers door can not be opened from inside or out, passenger door can be opened only from inside,

    still can't get drivers door open, i took the cover of the inner handle and took a pair of long nose pliers to the pull wire hoping that the added pressure may release it be no luck

    Not sure about 2001, but for the 2007 model, to open the back door or driver door manually you put key in, turn it right, then quickly turn it left and hold for couple of seconds.

    Or possibly turn right, turn left turn right again and hold.
