Saw this on a popular UK deals site (not sure if allowed to mention).

Can use the code Laptop30 to get an extra 30 euro off so 370 pounds total (around 440 euro).

Seems to be the best laptop at this price range in terms of specs that I have seen in a while. Only negatives are plastic and possibly cheap chassis and no backlit keyboard.

Ive ordered it myself and if something comes around in next day or so I will cancel it and get that instead but it probably wont.

Had to use addresspal as they dont deliver to Ireland

Is there a link or you just bragging?

From experience AO cancel orders to Addresspal.

Feck. Thanks for letting me know. I could try cancel it and send it to my buddy in the UK and get him to post to me. Bit of hassle, didnt realise they would cancel the order.

good deal if you get it through.

reasonably light at just under 1.5kg and a bigger size ssd that you'd usually get for the money.

the integrated graphics would also allow for some more light gaming at 720p (fortnite type games) over what the intel integrated graphics can do.

Has anyone else seen silimlar around that price ?

Ive been in contact with AO customer support and they said they couldnt see any reason why it wont be shipped to addresspal address so will have to wait and see. I ordered a second one with the faster shipping option (delivered by Friday 3rd) so at least I will know by tomorrow if it gets shipped.

Will let you guys know if it does so you can try get it.

I've ordered this with the free delivery to Addresspal. Will also update with progress on the order.

The discount code isn't working for me. Says it is expired. Without the offer on AO I would probably order from amazon for the same price: https://www.amazon.co.uk/HP-14-dk0008na-6Bl30Ea-Ryzen-3500U/dp/B07Y3H229M

Hasn't been mentioned but this is a 14" screen just in case somebody is expecting a 15.6". Not bad other than that.

FYI, just before this thread was started by the OP on 31/12, I happened to order a different laptop from AO and I just got an email that it has been delivered to AddressPal this morning by DPD. So it seems AO have no problem with AddressPal at present.

Now the praying starts, AddressPal have lost two parcels on me over the years so I rarely use them any more but did on this occasion as AO charge extra and only ship 'selected' computing products to NI where I would normally use Parcel Motel.

Losing the parcel is something im worried about because AFAIK there is zero recourse if they lose it. FYI, I read on the forum where I got this from that you can do click and collect with AO in NI

Yes but I wouldn't be up that way normally. I'll see how it goes with AddressPal this time.

Does anyone have any idea how often An Post bring over AddressPal shipments for delivery here? My impression before was that it's no more than once or twice a week. I hate having no idea when it might arrive.

Tbh you are almost better off ordering off Amazon when you take into the account of addresspal as well as the risk of them losing the package. If I had seen it on Amazon for 30 more I probably would have ordered it from them. They are great for returns too.

Out of stock (temporarily) on AO.

    There's a 1 - 2 month wait for delivery from Amazon.

    @DonnieCorko

Did AO dispatch that one you ordered by fast shipping?

They did. However, they put that and the first laptop together in the same parcel and when i rang to cancel the first (once i received the tracking number) they said that it would cancel both. So I had to cancel both. They were then out of stock but I got an email saying they are back in. Ordered it but then got a text saying that they wont be receiving stock until the 14th so it will be after that when I receive it.

As an update, I ordered a laptop from AO on 31st Dec (just before this thread was started). It was delivered to AddressPal on 2nd Jan and I picked it up this morning (7th Jan) at my local post office. So at least in my case there is no problem using AddressPal for AO orders.

Would there be any issues using ParcelMotel?

Parcel motel have a NI address and they wont deliver to a NI postal address afaik. AddressPal is easy to set up. Also, when ordering expensive stuff go for the home delivery as it has 200 euro insurance whereas post office collection is much less. home delivery is only 6/7 euro I think
