Height of dividing wall query

    Hi, need some advice on an issue....i live in lucan, west dublin in a regular 3 bed semi in a housing estate....my neighbour has build a wall that divides our front driveways....whats the max Height a dividing wall can be....I've read that 1.2M is the max for the front and 2M is the max at the back of the property....can anyone direct me to where these exact regulations are defined?....if he/neighbour is out side regulations, What are my courses of action as conversation has not worked

    1.2 to front
    2 to rear

    Google the exempted development regulations
    Complaints can be made to your local council planning enforcement section.

    Regardless of the exempted development regs, the fact that you say a standard semi-D in housing estate, there may be a condition re boundaries on the parent permission for the development that restricts certain boundaries to the front of the house. If there is, this is more relevant that the regs... Check out the original planning permission document first..

    What is the issue? Telling the council they are in breach will cause you a lot of Hassel.
