    Hi,

There is a product that is currently is available in the US but there is no Irish equivalent. How would you go about getting it produced without importing the actual branded version. Has anyone any experience with this?

First you need to check what protection they have. You can't just go copy it. Really you should either invent your own version or pay the company behind the US version.

Is it something you can manufacture yourself or do. You need someone else to maufacture

For what it's worth, unless you have the moola to gain momentum (and market) quickly, it's pretty risky. Why? The manufacteur could simply start importing to Ireland or someome else, with moola, with take it and run with it.

That's moot if you can patent or otherwise protect it but that again is going to cost you money and time, if you even can given it's already on the market in the US.

Your probably better off trying to get the Irish / UK territory exclusively yours.
