Tarmac stains

Elderly relative got a tarmac job done. He has his own water well. The water would be very limey and has to be treated for household use.

Anyway tarmac job came out almost perfect. Apart from the fact that it's got stains on it in quite few places where the roller seems to have stopped and the lime in the water seems to have burned into the tarmac. It's look pretty ****ty on a dry day.

The tarmac contracter knew there was a well as he had to put in a manhole for it. The area would be a known area for hard water. I'd argue he should have made the client aware of the lime issue and asked for treated water which could have been provided quite easily.

Anyway, the contractor has offered to power wash the tarmac to see if the stains can be removed. Not a good idea in my opinion as it could compromise the tarmac. I suggested that the contactor should offer a discount for not providing a proper finish.

    Any advice?

Maybe try some Lime remover on the stains like a mild Acid, do not let him powerwash it as even a small washer will still destroy it.
