Would you install a stove?

I'm living in Dublin and have been planning to move our unused open fireplaces over to inset stoves, but now I am worried that they will be banned in the near future. I was thinking small, inset wood only burners. Is it worth the gamble?

Theoretically wood is carbon neutral...

We should concentrate on the fossil fuels first, and thats still a long long way away..
