Bathroom Extractor Fan with Sloped Ceiling

    Hi,

When we renovated our downstairs bathroom, the electrician moved the extractor fan from the wall to the ceiling. Is this mandatory? - I think he said it was.

We have an upstairs toilet in our dormer which I would also like to renovate with the help of a plumber and electrician. The ceiling in that room is sloped - its basically a triangular prism shaped room. We would like to place a shower so that it is located where the ceiling is at its highest point, using a three sided enclosure. But this would also seem to me to be the most logical place to put the extraction fan since behind this wall is the cold attic space. So where might the fan go?

    Regards,
    Barra
