Where to buy Irish Provence bare roots?

Hi all,


Any advice on genetically Irish bare roots species?
I am getting vague answers when asking some nurseries eg. certified Irish but may not be originally from Ireland etc. Sounds like Larrys Brazilian beef!
I obtained a few smaller numbers from local areas and was really lucky to stumble along a few Strawberry tree and Yew seeds while in Killarney national park last November.
I am wary that most garden centres and nurseries will be attracted to the cheapest wholesale stock and buy from Holland or Poland.

I'd say your best bet is the smaller nurseries. Here in N. Tipp Fogarty's would be the best one IMO to try.

THanks Blue for the link... looking for mostly mixed native hedging (spindle, guelder rose, crab apple, hawthorn, blackthorn) at this stage and some silver birch.

None so Hardy grow Birch, with seed from there own seed orchard , so it'd definitely Irish

Future Forests outside Bantry Co Cork - I think they will at least know where their stock has come from.
