Here in Britain 2 Christmas special radio stations stopped at midnight ending 26th December and beginning 27th December. They were Mincepie a local station which switched off in the middle of Slade playing and Heart Xmas which after a commercial break changed back to Heart Xtra a national station that relays Heart London 80% of the time. However I'm getting a station on 846khz AM during the night that's still playing all Christmas Music. It's a jukebox station though with no presenters. I believe it's coming from Ireland too. Most people I've asked on the internet think Christmas Music should stop on 25th December.

Back in the 80s/90s, Irish stations (for example RTE 2FM) used to play Christmas songs up to 6th January.

I know Christmas FM finish up today 27th December, I think other stations start dropping the Christmas music now as it starts earlier & earlier each year.

I was surprised by how many stations (in Dublin) had dropped Christmas songs or significantly reduced the Christmas song rotation by 7pm Christmas evening. It's not that long ago since stations would go back to back/very high rotation Christmas songs until the 27th.

The existence of Christmas FM and it's popularity may be an influencing factor

BBC Radio 1 had to play a lot of them earlier today in the official chart rundown, as over 30 of the UK Top 40 singles are Christmas songs !!

Raidio Na Life and Spirit were still playing some Christmas tunes yesterday evening. Raidio na Life played one I had not heard before from Prince: Another Lonely Christmas.

If we're talking about Xmas FM, then it's gone off the airwaves since the 27th or 28th of December :(

Still available online with live programming until New Year’s Day. After that it’s just a playlist of songs.

    Online maybe ...

But not on AM or FM anymore.

Just static on my car radio where it was broadcasting (for inly the 1st couple of days of Christmas) 25th, 26th, 27th?

Admittedly it was broadcasting on FM for a whole month before Christmas started.

Christmas finishes on January 6th which is known here as Little Christmas or Women's Christmas.
If the listeners want Christmas music up till then play away I say.
Soon enough we will be into the old day to day stuff again.
