Zanussi Fridge Freezer Not working All of a sudden

    Zanussi Freestanding Frost Free Fridge Freezer | ZRB34426XA


    Am i better getting a new one or can i get this fixed i managed to get to condenser was a bit of ice but not much, used hair dryer to lossen up bit that was there Freezer working fine.

    How long will it take for fridge to get cold now if this was the reason any help appreciated thanks

    Did you get a good look at the evaporator when you went defrosting with the hairdryer, when clogged up with ice there is normally quite a lot so you may need to take another look. the fan motor in there also needs to run to circulate the coldness, a diy way of testing is to activate the light switch which should bring in the motor.. Also are you sure the compressor motor is running continuous.

    im not really sure i took of plastic there was a white fan, then polystyerene around evaporator can that come off i wasn't sure

    pull out the fridge and check that the compressor is running, it will have a suction line and a high side pipes, the narrow one is the high side and should be hot/warm if the unit has enough of gas. if the narrow line is warm to touch plug out the unit and go back to the evap, I would suspect it is still clogged with ice which can happen due to one of the doors being left partially open or it may have defective defrost heater/sensor
