Forgive my ignorance but who is Mikey?

I predict that 8Radio.com will have another temporary license run. I also predict that Phil Cawley will get some more slots on Radio Nova and that he will leave Today FM altogether.

Definitely agree with the Phil Cawley prediction, I'd say he'd prefer to be able to pick his own music on Radio Nova than play the same 10 songs from the TodayFM playlist of same songs every day.

Wonder has he yet said the wrong radio station when working on Saturday (Radio Nova) & Sunday (TodayFM) ?

My other predictions would be the Sean O'Rourke show changes to a new name unrelated to the presenter and about 3 different presenters, rotating on the decks - Cormac OH, Katie Hannon would be 2 I could see stepping in.

More of the same old sh*te. The BAI will fall over backwards to protect the current incumbents despite the aspirational claptrap contained in their most recent manifesto.....

I predict that I will continue to listen to a world of radio stations on my WiFi radio, hence I will carry on not be confined to local radio ...

A erstwhile legend of the radio forum, not the hero we want, but the one we deserve.

Don’t think we’ll see Miley until Love Island ends now that Laura Whitmore has the presenting gig.

I fear for decent current affairs on Radio 1 when Sean O'Rourke retires. His stand ins over the last 2 years have been very very poor. He atleast tries to take a middle line. For example, he may not like people like Boris, but he at least tries to discuss the subject, whereas others seem to think its more important toexpress their dislike and disgust at such a person, rather than discusss the actual topic that is supposed to be under discussion

2FM to revert to older presenters at weekends only - Michael Cahill, Will Leahy, Rick O'Shea (from RTE Gold) and Fanning to remain there.

More Automation is definitely going to happen, and the BAI will sit on their asses saying nothing about it.

Generally the BAI being backward and trying to please all the current stations by not sanctioning anyone, and not looking towards the future and opening the market further.

I could see FM104's figures in Dublin dropping off a bit, narrowing the gap to the others in Dublin. Could see Spin1038 going up in numbers as listeners move away from 104.

Nationally, Today FM will probably fumble through the year again with hit and miss figures. Someone else mentioned it but Matt Cooper might just get bored and move on, seems to be a dumbing down of his content and I wonder would he have offers elsewhere.

Everyone in radio to be forced to produce a Podcast of some description, because that's the way the world is going it seems.

    Niall dropped from 4fm
    Jennifer Zamparelli dropped 2fm
    Ciara Kelly goes to RTE

2FM to split programming either at weekends or daytime/evenings, between catering for the younger audience and the RTE Gold audience

Can't see that happening. They have only got rid of the deadwood. Surely merging it with lyric would make more sense anyway?

      Come on now? Really?

Spend 5/6 years repositioning to a young output, drop all the older presenters bit by bit and now take them all back?

Stay away from gambling for the love of god, you'll be broke in a day.

it will depend on how much of a younger audience the changes have brought and will bring in.
if the audience is increasing then they will be fine.
if the audience is remaining stagnant or even decreasing then they are in trouble, for which a revert to targeting an older audience couldn't be ruled out as a last ditch attempt to save the station.

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.
