    Hi,

Having recently used some basic screw on f-connectors with Webro wf100 cable. They didn't fit particularly snuggly and I'd like to get a better set to crimp into place.

Is there a certain diameter I need to buy or is it standard? For instance is this type of kit going to work? https://www.amazon.de/dp/B078T62R3Y/

    Thanks!

that will work but overkill, look at this video and if you do as shown your f joinings will be perfect, wrap a bit of tape at end if you want it very neat.

Did you even watch that video? The guy in it is clueless, & he can't even follow the (admittedly poor) instructions that come with the connectors.

Do you mean they're actually loose on the cable? WF100 would be thicker as those cables go, so if anything I'd expect the opposite problem with conns. that are a bit tight. Ignore that video above anyway, & prepare the cable like in the pic. here.

If you're afraid of water getting in, put some self-amalgamating tape round the connector.

Yes strangely. I'd stripped the cables carefully and with a specific cable stripper so surprised it would be so different. I can do it again to see if my measurements are off.

For outside connection to the lnb are screw on connectors not a bit fragile?

    Thanks for the replies
