I have 2 tvs in the house, one picks up all the saorview channels, but the other will only tune into rte1, virgin media 3, and rte Jr. They are both smart tvs with saorview built in. Both are connecter to the same aeriel. Does anyone know why this could be?

Have you tried rerunning the tuning on the tv they are not working on? Was the tv it's not working on always at its current location and not initially tuned at a different location?

If you alter the connections so the feed from aeriel to tv that picks up all channels is swapped with tv that doesn't does that then pick up the channels?

Poor signal, maybe just limited to the problem TV, or maybe it's just that bit worse off that's enough to cause decoding failure.

Could be as simple as a dodgy aerial plug at the TV.
