Has anyone had this laptop? Was recommended by TechTablet as the best laptop for a 300 price range. Any thoughts?

Its for my gf for xmas. Mainly college work/research/watching videos/ maybe some photo editing.

if you don't need touchscreen he also recommended this one (EZbook X3 PRO) which is cheaper
