Adjust window hinges

Renting a house at the moment and a lot of the windows are draughty even though House is only 13/14 years old
They were just not looked after. When I moved on a lot of them wouldn’t even open fully so i cleaned and lubricated hinges etc
A few of them still looked poorly sealed

Anyway the one in young lads bedroom is very bad and we had to to take him out of the room during the storm the last night.
    It was ridiculous bad

On closer inspection I could see there was a gap of a mM or two on the hinge side of window
I lubricated again today but it made no difference

Is there any way I can adjust the hinge ? I’ve attached a photo

If not I may just seal the gap over the winter and see about getting landlord to replace hinge in new year

what state are the seals in ? I had my double glazed units looked at a couple of years ago by the munster joinery guy that they give all the problems to, and he went round all my windows, replaced hinges and seals.

if they are that bad te landlord should sort them though. might be tricky getting anyone in the next few days though.

    My weather

Is there movement in it? It’s more likely the hinge is too worn than out of adjustment.

With the window closed, push/pull the sash in/out. There should be no movement.

    Not much movement really

The issue is the window locking wedges need to be adjusted or changed. These are what pull the widow against the frame when closed. Normally white at bottom middle and top of wind on hinged side.

How does the gap at the bottom compare to other ok windows?

Then I would suggest get the hinges replaced. There’s no adjustment on them.

Will have to wait till after xmas so

Is there anything I can do in meantime to reduce draught......the window doesn't need to be opened as there is also a velux

Draught exclusion tape, any discount store has it. It's basically a foam tape with one side sticky.

Finally got some of that today
    Gonna do it in morning

Trying to figure now should I just run it over the gap on inside of window (window can then still be opened and closed )
    Or
Actually in the gap but window may not shut then I guess

Run it along the window where the gap is,you can open and close the window then.
