Service History Update on BMW iDrive

Had my car serviced by a very good independent mechanic - 2014 BMW 520D.
Was perfectly happy with the work carried out and the price charged, only issue is that I cannot get the service history updated on the iDrive system in the car, it still says last serviced in 2017, even though now the dash displays next service is due in 28,000 km.

Numerous calls to the mechanic have eventually resulted in him sending me a screenshot of the updates he made on the BMW web based system. He told me it might take a couple of days to update in the car but over a week now and no update.

It may seem like a small thing as I have paperwork to prove the recent service was carried out, it's just niggling at me and I want it sorted. Is it such a big deal to get the car updated?
