    Hi Folks

Looking for a weekend away in Jan somewhere in Europe - Germany maybe - but really want snow. Not interested in skiing, just a nice hotel, a fire, beer and snow! Doesn't have to be a city break - happy with a little town somewhere.

Any suggestions, even a website that we could check where there is snow before we book?

Went to Gdansk a few years ago in January and it was full of snow, an excellent city to visit

Check out Charmonix in France or Interlaken, Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland. If you want somewhere bigger maybe Innsbruck or Salzburg in Austria.

The problem going somewhere for snow is that it may have to be somewhere mountainous, put the two together and what have you got? Skiing, which is going to shove the prices of flights and hotels up.
