    Hi folks!
I done my SPSV license and I'm waiting for my license paperwork (almost 3 months unfortunately). My question it's, what's is better, work as Taxi driver ou limousine.
I'm thinking start whit limousine service because I have mercedes c200 Form 2013 pretty new, and I think start using in begging the "free now app" executive services.

I know the car license it's 1050€ for limousine cars and for taxi it's around 100€. But I think it's better I own my one car and dont pay a rent for another. Other wise I will pay in the end two insurances(for my own car and for the Taxi car, or other option it is selling my Mercedes).

Can someone help me please, whit some advices?

C class wouldn't be big enough imo.

I'd say getting work would be difficult even with the right size.

Taxi licence is more then that unless you're going to get a disabled suitable vehicle.

Insurance is huge like €5k or more unless this has dropped.

Tough business to be getting into.

If it was a cls yes a C won't do as it won't be correct classification.

Type in limousine classification NTA into Google it first search line, all the suitable vehicle are listed.... C class too small.

Your looking at CLs, S, GL class and few others, lexus GS 450 H or 450, LS for example, BMW 4,5,6,7 series, Fiat Scudo and many more makes and models....

They all have to meet a certain size.

Just because you say it's a limo does not make it so, that is why we have consumer law...

The first step to starting any successful business is to have a plan and this does not sound like a plan. Deciding between a taxi and limo services means looking at the market, figuring out what is in demand, where are your customers going to come from, who much will it cost to attract them - advertising, discounts etc and what it is likely to cost you to run that business.

Hackney maybe an option but very restricted and lots of holes to jump through if you can get a short licence at all for an area as only a small amount allowed.

By the way 2013 is nowhere near new as it's near 2020 it's 7 years old...

Filipe Ferreira .... To do limo work , you need the right vecihcle .
The only tru limo cars are ...
Mercedes Sclass / bmw 7 series or Audi A8 ...
There are hundreds of them doing limo work .
It's hard to get into the hotels etc because you will find they are doing business with the same person/ company for years .
These hotels receive / expect good commission .
The charges limo drivers charge are high but it's very expensive to keep a car worth a minimum of €50,000 on the road .
If I was you I would put your car as a taxi , join up with my taxi and see how you go from there .

C class is not a limo
2013 is too old for a limo and you'd only get to use it as a taxi for 2 years due to the 9 year rule.

Fail to plan => plan to fail
