Memory Upgrade

Hi

I have a MSI Motherboard

cpu is Intel Xeon CPU E3 -1270v3

I currently have 8Gb Memory installed ie 2x 4gb modules like these

I would like to upgrade to 16gb total
Question is the mainboard has 4 slots would i be better buying 2 more 4gb modules and inserting them filling all 4 slots with 4x4gb modules giving 16gb

or should i buy 2 x 8gb modules and replace the existing 2x4gb modules

or if anyone has any better combo or should i upgrade to 32gb

What are you using the PC for? If it's something that can benefit from 32GB ram there's no reason not to given ram prices have dropped hugely. If it's just a general use machine or light editing or whatever, 16GB is more than enough so 4x4gb is perfectly fine and very cheap at the moment as well to just get a 2x4gb kit.
