Deterring neighbours cats from using my garden as a toilet

I've tried bottles in the garden, cat repellant dust from Woodies, spraying pepper and still my garden is full of cat crap, most diarrhoea. It burns the grass which is bad enough but I'm pregnant and it's pretty horrific picking it up. And there's no one else that can do it.

Now it's one thing me picking it up but all going well I will have a toddler in the garden soon. I have to fix this beforehand. As at the moment my garden isnt very usable.

Any advice would be appreciated. I was thinking of one of those devices that only cats can hear, but I'd be worried it might affect a newborn.

Folks,
Every time there's a "how to keep cats out of my garden thread", there's always one suggestion to defaecate in the owner's garden. It has become like a faecal version of Godwin's Law at this stage. Predictable and entirely unhelpful.
And suggestions that involve levels of cruelty that's unacceptable in this forum.
So, we already have the former, that's enough of that. Let's not have the latter.
OP, might I also suggest you do a forum search, as this topic comes up remarkably regularly, so you can be sure there is already plenty of advice available to you already.

+1 was going to recommend these too. The first time I put the batteries in Bailey looked with his head to one side and Lucy barked at it and that was it.. the dogs don't care about them but I have footage of the cat running out of the garden. My situation is neighbours cat is pooing in all of our gardens, Lucy will eat the poo and I can't afford for her to get sick from it as we have enough going on with her. Batteries are in almost 2 months now and still working to btw.

(I'm not sure if this is classed as cruel though so I'm going to report my own thread!)

They are motion activated so not cruel at all.

A lot of the repellants rely on the theory that cats will be repelled by certain aromas (usually orange oil). However this will only work on some cats (my last cat actually liked the smell of oranges!) and I would imagine you would have to cover a large area for the aroma to be effective.
I think the motion activated sound repeller mentioned above is the way to go.
At least your neighbour is approachable and is willing to discuss it with you.

Once you take precautions, mask, rubber gloves etc it's fine. Many women do it pregnant. But it's usually their own cat!

If you can be certain it's your neighbours cat, I'd scoop it up and leave it on their doorstep. Tell them it's a package that was delivered to your house in error.

Op I would suggest as you are pregnant get your night to pick it up.

If you are calling her on a daily basis to do it she will soon find a way to stop them.

She has numerous ways including boundary collars, rolling fence toppers etc. She will have to spend a bit but it's her choice to have cats

I too would be calling in to the neighbour to get them to clean it. Being pregnant, the risk of toxoplasmosis is worrying and it's not fair to ask you to take it.

Orange peels place around the perimeter seemed to work for me. I didnt bother with whats suggested in the link just placing peels around seemed to do the trick.
