    Hi,

I failed my 4th driving test today. Felt down in the dumps. But realized I have to move one and get this thing together. Had been advised to get more lessons from an instructor until I am test-ready. Any suggestions of motoring school who is good in failing learner drivers? First was 4 grade 2’s for observation. 2nd - 4th were all single grade 3’s - yielding right of way in roundabout, reversing on to the footpath on doing a turnabout, and now not stopping in pedestrian lane w blinking lights. I need your help since I don’t have the money to spend on making all grade 3 mistakes there is. Lol

Firstly what part of the country are you in? If you’re in Cork I’d know the routes so would have an idea of junctions etc, if another county it’d be good to name it so other contributors might be able to help with their local knowledge. I know many a good instructor in Cork/Limerick/Waterford/Tipperary/Kilkenny.i also know motorcycle instructors in Leinster who would have contacts in other categories.

Do you honestly need more lessons to tell you to stop at a roundabout or pedestrian crossing ?

Hitting a footpath on turning is forgiveable. With practice you'll get better at judging dimensions.

They might need help with their speed or observations on approach to roundabouts or crossings. Often it’s what led up to the fault that needs fixed or improved.
As for the turnabout, it might not just be a spacial awareness issue. It could be lack of clutch control that caused it, observing in the wrong direction at the wrong time.

Don’t underestimate the job a good ADI can do in improving someone’s driving and helping them pass the test.

Yes definitely need help in those areas. How you can get a grade 3 on those. And once you have a grade 3 you fail. Did well on turnabout, reversing in a curb, observations. But one grade 3 mark and thats it-fail. On my 3 out of 4 tests. It was all single grade 3. I do have grade 2s but about 4-5
