Questioning diagnosis

    Hi!
I'm wondering if anyone has been in the same boat.

Last week, I finally got a rheumatology appointment after waiting a very long time. I don't think I seen a rheumatologist but a physio working under the rheumatologist. Their diagnosis was not as bad as my GP (and several locums before her) had predicted and I was so delighted, I didn't even question it.

This morning I got a bit of a reminder that what they said didn't really add up, and they didn't express that they were giving me a follow up appointment, outside of xrays and physical therapy.

Has anyone ever gone back to their GP after receiving a diagnosis from a specialist? Is there anything a GP can do, or is it just a case of going back onto another waiting list for another year or two?

    Always ask.
So yes, talk to your GP

Unfortunately, the doctor didn't know. The report hadn't come from the consultant yet, and they didn't know enough themselves.
