Almost a month for MRI results

    Hi I'm just looking for some advice. I went to see a private specialist last month who referred me for an MRI with Affidea. On the 17th it'll have been a full month since I had it and I've yet to receive my results. I contacted his secretary and she said she'd get back to me ASAP when she speaks to him but that was almost a week ago now. I assume if it was anything really serious I'd have heard back straight away but I'm still in agony and need to know what's wrong. Is this a normal wait time? I don't want to be that annoying patient because I realise these specialists are extremely busy but I feel like I'm being ignored. If I had known it was going to take this long I would have just gone through A&E and hoped for the best. Any similar stories out there? Should I be putting more pressure on them or just grin and bear it until I'm contacted?

    Affidea give results within 48 hours usually.... I.d be chasing the consultant....
    Or you could rng Affidea....Last time I got an MRI done in their Cork branch, they gave me
    a disc of the MRI to take home with me. Best of luck.
