My wife and I both receive the contributory state pension...ages 66 and 69..
    We don't have other income...
My wife has been recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis . She needs extra rest and help throughout the day....
Do you think I would qualify for carers allowance.
    Thanks...

If your wife needs full time care and attention throughout the day then you should apply for carers allowance . If you are successful you will get it at 1/2 rate.
