Software to organise and tag photos

    My Canon EOS 550D came with Canon's ZoomBrowser Ex software to manage the photos. It's quite basic.

    I'm looking for some software where I can add random tags to photos (list location, event name, some people names etc). Even better would be the ability to bulk add tags when I upload a number of photos.

    I don't take many photos and I'd be at the amateur end of the amateur scale so the software can be basic too.

    I had used Picasa in the past and I liked the facial recognition feature. It has a tags feature but as it's been abandoned I'm looking elsewhere.
