Looking for a recommendation for a foam gun to connect to a garden hose? I dont expect it to be as good as when connected to a pressure washer but anything that comes close? And - any foam gun that might work with both garden hose and pressure washer - that would be idle?

Only one I know if is this but it's not cheap. Not sure how it performs either

Dont think you will find anything that will work marginally well without the pressure from a pressure washer.

Try something cheap like this and it will give you an idea of how useless it will be without the pressure washer https://www.halfords.ie/motoring/car-cleaning/shampoo-polish-wax/demon-shine-demon-foam-with-snow-foam-gun-2-litre

Using one off a garden hose is not much good. If not getting a foam cannon attachment for a pressure washer, you'd be better off looking at a pressurised foam sprayer such as the IK Foam sprayer series. For a full car you would really need to look at the IK9 Foamer, as the IK 1.5 Foamer won't do a whole car in one go that great.

The connector on the snow foam lance is specific to the make of pressure washer you are attaching it to. I don't think there is a universal one that will fit both a garden hose and pressure washer. As said they are practically useless on a standard garden hose without any sort of pressure.

Pressurized sprayer would probably be better,
Maybe use citrus pre clean instead of foam with it?

I bought one from Ali Express for about 15euro and has been doing the job fine since.

Some places charge an arm and a leg for them
