Thanks everyone for the votes and Myksyk for his continued great work here.

There is not really much to say on this shot I would like to say luck but no.
I recently picked up the Sony A7 and borrowed a Metabones adapter to see how it fairs out with a couple of canon lens. I was especially intrigued How my 500mm would adapt especially as you can go from full frame to crop at the flock of a button.

This shot was taken at a spot on the Dodder quite a few here will know about. If its the famous fox and the regular visits from the kingfishers you are bound to get a shot. So it was a handy spot to test out the combo knowing there will be something to fire a few shots at.

I noticed the kingfisher slowly making its way up to the river and just held on hoping he would land here. Thankfully he did as this was not a usual perch for him.

    The shot Sony A7 @ 500mm F4 , iso400, 1/500.

I didn't think Canon L lenses would be compatible with the Sony A7 - isn't it a smaller compact camera ?

    lovely shot btw...

Hi Hector, Thanks. They are not however there are a number of adapters manufactured by Metabones and one by Sigma that allow the use of Canon lens on the Sonys.
It is hit and miss, I wouldn't rely them as the focus can be inconsistent.

Is it the Sony Alpha 7 III ?

    It's a nice camera ... expensive tho...
