    Hello,
does anyone know where I could get a replacement part for plughole on shower tray.
The rubber seal is on and I believe it is causing a leak (appearing ondownstairs ceiling).
    Image attached.
    thanks.

That part definitely isn't causing the leak. You can even use the shower without that part. Its only there to catch the hair.

It's either the trap itself needs replacing or the grout on the tiles has failed

Yeah, it's not causing a leak, but this part is pretty necessary. A shower trap is a trap the same as a p-trap (though more like a bottle trap here) and sewer gas can get in without this.

Op: you can easily replace the o-ring on this (they're easy to get in any hardware shop) but the only effect it would have had is letting in a little bit of a smell (honestly though, probably not enough to notice).

I'm afraid the best way of finding a leaking trap is to cut a hole in the ceiling below it, run the shower and see where the water comes out - you'll probably have to do this to repair it anyway.

Like the guy above said, it might not be the trap. Usually if it's the trap then it'll be a bit more localised (though not necessarily) and you might even hear a drip as the shower is running.
