VW Tiguan just a couple of years old - rattle from exhaust when accelerating usually in second gear. Anyone else experienced this?

Possibly a bracket holding the exhaust, check simplest fix first.

Thanks - will check this out.
Would that be a common fault in Tiguans?

Could happen to any car - I had it repaired (welded) for €15 in my local mechanics.

I will tell the mechanic about the bracket and hopefully it will work.

It's irritating that it only happens sometimes and whenever I go to the mechanic, it doesn't happen.

    Something's loose - a heat shield perhaps?
