Confused about Christmas Bonus

Hi. I'm recently unemployed. I'm on jobseekers benefit.

I had booked a trip away prior to losing my job. I was away for four weeks.

I'm just back this week. I was told that my payment restarts next week. And I'll be paid for two of the weeks I was away.

I didn't realise the christmas bonus was this week. As my payments only restart from next week, does that mean I lose out of the christmas bonus as well as two of the weeks I was away?

If you’re on JSB then your not entitled to the Christmas bonus anyway so the good news is you haven’t lost out on anything.

Yeah, people on jobseekers benefit dont get the christmas bonus, its only people on long-term payments that get it.

    Hi there.

    Sorry to hijack the thread.

Does the Christmas bonus apply to those completing C.E. schemes?

    Thanks 😊

Sorry for the silly question but I've never done this before. Previously my next signing day was sometime in 2020. But on my latest recipt it's now next week. But there's no other details. Do I go in at a specific time or morning or afternoon. Didn't get any other notification and nothing on mygovid.

Just make sure to go on that date and it should be pretty easy to walk into the main area of the intreo centre usually they have a sign saying 'signing area' of some sort, if not just ask a member of staff, anytime from open to close I'm sure is fine, there will be an allocated section for signing all day
