Old angle grinder.

    Just came into ownership of an old Makita n910 angle grinder but there is no lock on it to change disc. Google couldn't help.any ideas.

    No lock or lock is broken? I remember an old grinder here that you had to get a wrench slid into the spindle to hold it and then unlock.

    You need 2 spanners, 1 to hold (under the disc) and one to open the top nut. This was the way on many makes before locks became common.

    Have you a link to them? I change discs regularly. Do they fit any grinder or just Bosch?

    Common to all makes, that type flange nut comes as standard with metabo. Google quick change flange nut m14.

    i got a jeferson one a while back. it seems to work fine but dont have it long enough to reconmend it yet

    What is the most common issue with these old Makitas? I have a unit (maybe 15 years old) that has recently stopped working. I'd say it hasnt 1 hour of work done since it was purchased. Is fuse the first port of call?
