iPhone 11 going unresponsive (sort of)

My phone is only 3 weeks old and twice now the screen has sort of gone unresponsive. I cant scroll between home pages and when I press an icon nothing happens however if I long press the icon, the menu opens and I can select from the various options. Swiping up/down also works but not left/right. A hard reset cured it both…
