Cycle Lane Signage Question

    I commute via the R120 and R134 (Newcastle & Adamstown roads) which were recently upgraded with on-path cycle lanes.
    Over the last few days, the council have placed these signs at private entrances (only facing the direction of traffic as if expecting people to be on the opposite path when returning home :rolleyes:).
    Anyhow, is it normal for priority to be ceded to private entrances (even though the cycle path merges with the road (and turns red)?
    Is this based on an actual law or are SDCC just being dicks?

    That particular one pictured is indicating the shared pedestrian/cycle path ends as the cycle track goes onto the road.

    As it's on the road in parts I'd say it's one way rather than bi-directional, probably why the signs are facing traffic.
