Have I been scammed?

    Two days ago I placed and paid for an order from online building materials supplier Build4less. Contrary to their statement I have not received a confirmation email. I have not had any response to several attempts at online live chat through their website, several phone calls over three days have not been responded to and even social media messages to them have received no response. Should I be worried?

    I bought some stuff from build4less years ago, but i think it was owned by a different company back then.
    They were only middle men reselling stuff, didnt have one item so ordered one of the lesser value.
    Never received the refund, but it wasnt that much.
    I think its owned by clondalkin providers at the moment but i might be wrong.

    If you paid by card, just contact your bank/ card provider and ask for chargeback.

    I was going to follow your advice and about to contact my bank but felt that it might just be worth another attempt at phone call to the company.
    Glad I did because this time, and for the first time since all of my previous attempts, my call was not cut off and someone responded.
    The lady operative recognised my order number and assured me that delivery would be with me by the end of today.
    I did say that I was worried because I had not received an order confirmation email. She checked and said that one had been sent to me on Tuesday. She confirmed my email address and suggested that I look in my junk email folder. I checked that and yes indeed the order confirmation from the company had been directed to my junk folder....grrr I'd even forgotten that I had one of those!

    In summary, subject yet to the correct goods arriving later today, I apologise for any aspersions that my thread may have raised about the company and I feel confident enough to say that "Build4Less" appear to be still in business and my fears have been allayed.

    Yahoo used to show an alert next to the Spam box. I'd at least see there were two more than yesterday. No longer does.

    Having to think to consciously open some random, forgotten folder is a right PITA!

    Always worth a look in though, before breathing fire down some innocent secretaries ears ;)
