Double charged at ATM transaction

    I recently took out some cash in AIB atm (I'm with different bank). This transaction then showed the amount taken twice on my bank account statement with two different days but regarding the same ATM withdwrawal (same date as the first one). I rang the bank they said they will investigate with charge back team and get back to me although nothing is guaranteed. So how do I go about it if they don't refund the additional amount that I was billed for but not actually withdrew?

    were both transactions on the same day or different day? a statement should have a transaction id for each transaction that AIB should be able to match up with the ATM.
