Urgent laptop repair

    Hi all,

    My daughter spilled tea over her new Huawei Matebook D yesterday. Dried it off and powered it back on to see if was OK, screen came back fine.

    Last night it powered on but now only a black screen. Left in hotpress overnight but still the same this morning.

    Any idea of the damage and the best place in Dublin to have this repaired. Its mostly used for college course work. Did have a read of the relevant sticky first.

    The most important thing to do is leave it powered off. It is likely you have damaged it further by powering it back on. It will need to opened up to be dried and cleaned properly.

    As for where to bring it, try and find somewhere recommended, and don't go for the cheapest quote. Also, be 100% honest with them from the start.
