I've bought a pc for my son similar to this with a few tweaks
    https://www.cclonline.com/search/?q=CCL+Stryker+Gaming+PC
and now need a monitor for £100 ish.

    I might get this one
LG 27MK430H-B 27" IPS Full HD 75Hz FreeSync

Will it connect to the PC via HDMI cable ... ie is that how these normally work ... or should I find one with a VGA or DisplayPort connection?
I believe the monitor comes with a hdmi cable.
    Thanks.

HDMI cable from monitor into graphics card will be good
