Hi, looking for a bit of advice here. Has anybody stayed at these apartments? Looking at a week next June for 2 adults, 3 teenagers and a 10 yr old. Price is reasonable for flights and 2 bed apartment. We've only ever done the ferry to France so it's all new for us. Any difference in Ryanair or Aer Lingus. We'll most likely book through travel agent this time to be safe as we haven't really got a clue. Any other suggestions? Not tied to Lanzarote either, just always kind of wanted to go there. Thanks.

Don't worry about going independent (of a travel agent) when travelling to Lanzarote. Those apartments are in Puerto del Carmen which is only 10-15 minutes from the airport in a taxi. No dfference between Ryanair and Aer Lingus - there is only one airport.

Consider renting a car and taking a few spins around the island, the roads are very good and there's plenty of free parking on the streets in PDC. I used Europcar the last time (5-door Opel Corsa for €100 all-in for a week) but www.cicar.com gets very positive reviews on boards, they have offices all over the place (airport and downtown PDC), have no excess and will take cash.

Stayed there few years back, twice in consective years, good basic apartments, good location, down the infamous steps get you right to the new town strip, Spar short walk from main entrance, Lanzo is easily doable with no travel agent, we
never use agents just book flights then search for accomodation, something for everyones budget

We tend to stay in private accomodation now though thur holiday lettings and the like,

Thanks all, sounds good. Will probably do a few trips in car. Booked today anyway so at least that's out of the way.
