Replace cd player in glove box.

    I have a vw golf 142.It has a cd & sd card player in the glove compartment. However I do not have a USB hub in the car which is annoying.
    Is it possible to have one swapped with the cd player? Thanks

    It must have a cigarette lighter?

    Any auto electrician would be able to add a second 12v socket in the armrest or glovebox or somewhere

    Yes and I got one of those tube leads to plug into it and barely nothing.

    Round plug into cigarette socket with a usb type C going into the phone. Wouldn't charge.

    Does the socket actually work then? It’s quite common for fuses to blow on these, usually because a coin falls in or a loose satnav charger short circuits in the socket
